Association of the Miraculous Medal

In the Eucharistic Prayer of the Mass, the priest announces, “The mystery of faith,” to which the assembled Body of Christ acclaims:

“We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess your Resurrection...”

These ten words powerfully profess our belief in Christ’s saving work. By his death on the cross, Jesus liberated humanity from the eternal death of sin. And by his resurrection, Jesus returned humanity to the grace of participating forever in his glory. Now this is a faith mystery worth proclaiming!

Happy Easter from your family here at our Lady’s Association! We hope you will order our new Easter cards to be shared with someone in need of hope. Your Easter cards will be a reminder that belief in Jesus is belief in life over death. This is the truth of our Christian faith, and it is the reason for the season.

News this good must be shared! Please use these cards to share Easter blessings with a family member, friend, neighbor, co-worker or perhaps someone in profound need of God’s grace such as a prisoner, orphan, or homeless person. When you do so, you are offering them a spiritual remembrance in our Easter Octave of Masses beginning on Easter Sunday and concluding on the second Sunday of Easter--Divine Mercy Sunday.

I also invite you to burn Votive Lights at our Lady’s Shrine as a sign of your prayer. All you have to do is send me the names of your loved ones to be remembered in this special way.

Easter is a time of hopeful transformation. God’s grace works in our hearts to transform us evermore into the saints he made us to be. One of our members wrote me recently to share the following story of her ongoing transformation:

Dear Father, My siblings and I grew up in an abusive home. From the time I learned that Jesus and Mary could help, I would pray through the abuse, or sit in an empty church and cry. As I entered adulthood and began to lead a more normal life away from the abuse, I continued to pray both in times of need and thanksgiving to God. Reflecting on all the miracles that got me through the challenges of my childhood, I know it is my mission to pray for today’s generation of young people and to teach them how to pray. Having been blessed through so much, I am ready to go home when the Lord calls me. It has helped in this life, during good times and bad, to know that I am here for a purpose, and that my final reward will be eternal life with my Lord, our Lady, and all the angels and saints.

As you present your Easter cards from our Lady’s Association to your loved one, have confidence in God’s plan to help all his children experience the eternal joy of life in Christ!

Also, remember that any offering you make to the Association helps us promote devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, who intercedes for the world with her Son. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

May Jesus bless you this Easter, and always! And may Mary, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, obtain for you the eternal hope of our resurrected Lord Jesus!

Sincerely yours in Jesus and Mary,
