189 years ago, Our Lady appeared to Saint Catherine Labouré and asked her to have a medal made in the likeness of the vision presented to her. Catherine accepted this mission. In the years since Mary’s apparition to Saint Catherine, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal has touched the lives of hundreds of millions who have worn her medal and trust in her intercession.
