The Summer Bulletin continues the theme of 2022 which highlights the Vincentian way of life. This issue focuses on the Daughters of Charity, the religious order of Sisters co-founded by Saints Louise de Marillac and Vincent de Paul. Father Kevin shares some highlights of the Daughters’ distinguished history, and Sister Kathleen Murray, D.C., reveals the heart of her Marian spirituality as a current member. Send a ray of sunshine to a loved one by requesting the new Votive Light card pictured on page 10. And don’t miss Don’s poignant remembrance of a friend whose life and vocation reflected the hard work and selflessness at the very heart of the Vincentian charism. There’s plenty more to enjoy in the Summer Bulletin.

Do you know someone whose life is marked by “the Vincentian spirit”? We would love to hear about their life of faith. Call or write us anytime at 1-800-264-6279 or ammfather@amm.org.

In the first issue of the 2022 Bulletin newsletter, Father Kevin introduces a new yearly theme. "We are Vincentians” promotes the idea that each of us is a special part of the worldwide family of religious and lay persons devoted to the mission of Saint Vincent de Paul. Together, we serve the material and spiritual needs of the poor. By this we grow closer to Christ. Don’t miss your invitation to come to Perryville, Missouri, for the annual May Procession.

Be sure to browse our gift shop’s spring religious items and order Easter cards to send the gift of Easter prayer to loved ones.

Be assured that you and your needs are remembered in the daily Mass and prayers of the Vincentian community at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

Good stories are always in season, and you’ll find them aplenty in this issue of the Fall Bulletin Newsletter! Read about saints and angels … gifts and a grotto … voices from the past and a love story from the present … statues and cities, and much more. There’s an inspiring testimonial from a member in California who asked for Mary’s intercession during the COVID-19 outbreak. And don’t miss the call to pray the Rosary on election day! It’s all right here. Also, if you’re shopping for religious gifts for the coming Christmas season, check out the new Fall Gift Brochure.

Read our 2019 Fall Bulletin
In the fall issue of the Miraculous Medal Bulletin, Father Kevin’s article talks about no one being perfect, and how we should continue to pursue goodness. Don’s article invites all of us to reserve judgement about others until we know the whole story, and Father Tom Hinni’s message is about Mary, the Mother of the Church, and our Mother. In the Fall Bulletin you will also find the second part of Father Oscar Lukefahr’s article, “Unbaptized Babies-Your Saints in Heaven,” which was featured several years ago in a Bulletin. We hope you will take time to read these articles and others in the 2019 Fall Bulletin, and view the many beautiful gifts in our 2019 Fall Gift Brochure.

In the first issue of the Miraculous Medal Bulletin, Fr. Kevin talks about life being one beautiful, ongoing remodeling project. He states that the remaining Bulletin articles this year will explore the models of heroic virtue who will help remodel us in the image of Jesus. This will include the lives of some great saints who bring us closer to Jesus through their intercessory prayers. Don writes about the deaths of his parents and how they are with him always. Fr. Ramson’s article touches base on Lent and temptations. You will also find information about our Two Million Medals Campaign that we are kicking off this year along with an invitation to our annual May Procession. The spring Bulletin contains our 2019 Spring Gift Brochure. Look for new items as well as the other religious items suitable for First Communion, Confirmation, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. In the spring issue of the Miraculous Medal Bulletin, Fr. Kevin talks about the three verbs, “to pray, to welcome, and to go,” as ways to deepen one’s Christian spirituality, especially during this season of Lent.  Don writes about using life’s lessons during Lent to live each day full of vim and vigor. In Fr. Ramson’s article he encourages us to open our hearts to the suffering of others, especially refugees. An invitation to our annual May Procession is also included in this issue of the Bulletin along with an invitation to attend the Association’s pilgrimage to Oberammergau in 2020. We hope you will take time to read these articles and others in the 2018 Spring Bulletin. Gifts in our 2018 Spring Gift Brochure are now available for request. Look for the new items as well as the other religious items suitable for First Communion, Confirmation, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day.

Dear Fellow Pilgrim,

It is my great privilege to invite you to join our spring pilgrimage to France and Switzerland. In 2018, the Vincentians are celebrating their 200th Anniversary of arrival in Perryville, Missouri, and the Association of the Miraculous Medal is celebrating our 100th Anniversary with an inspiring pilgrimage to the lovely Chapel of the Motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity, in Paris, where Our Blessed Mother appeared to St. Catherine Laboure. This beautiful chapel continues to be the center of devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. We will have ample time to pray in this sacred place during our stay in the City of Light. In Paris, we will also visit the Chapel of the Vincentian Motherhouse where the remains of St. Vincent de Paul are enshrined, the Cathedral of Notre Dame, as well as other sacred and historic sites.

In addition, those who wish will have the option of joining Fr. John Rybolt, C.M., internationally known Vincentian historian and author, and me on a visit of Vincentian Family sites in Paris, including sites associated with St. Vincent, St. Louise de Marillac, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and Blessed Rosalie Rendu. Fr. Rybolt will be with us throughout our pilgrimage helping us to understand and appreciate the Vincentian charism.

Departing Paris, we will visit the Laboure farmhouse where St. Catherine was born, beautiful Chatillon-sur-Chalaronne where St. Vincent founded the first Confraternity of Charity, and Lyon where Blessed Frederic lived as a young boy and where he was married. On our way to Switzerland, we will visit the alpine town of Annecy to pray at the tombs of St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane Frances de Chantal who were closely associated with St. Vincent.

Finally, we conclude our pilgrimage in the wonderful city of Geneva.

To request a full color itinerary, call 1.800.264.6279 or
click here to download a printable copy and join us as we journey to the heart of devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and grow in our understanding of the charism of St. Vincent de Paul.

To Jesus through Mary,
Fr. Kevin, C.M.
