November All Souls Remembrance
At the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, we will pray for your deceased relatives and friends throughout the month of November. On All Souls Day, November 2, we will celebrate Mass for those you wish to remember. Send me their names so they can be placed near Mary’s Shrine for All Souls Day, and if you also give us their anniversary dates, we will remember your loved ones at the appropriate time in the coming year. You can also burn Votive Lights for your departed loved ones as a visible reminder of your prayers for them. Read Fr. Kevin’s letter about the time-honored tradition of commemorating the faithful departed on All Souls Day.

I want to help you share God’s love and Mary’s motherly compassion with someone in need. More specifically, I’m certain there is someone in your life who has recently lost a loved one. I invite you to use our new Memorial Remembrance Card, and to send me the name of the deceased person so that he or she can be remembered in the prayers and daily Mass here at the Shrine for one year. Mary’s image on the card inspires us to realize that she stands by us in our sorrow just as she stood by Jesus as he died for us on the cross. You might also want to burn a Votive Light for your deceased loved one. Read more in Fr. Kevin’s letter about the love and comfort Jesus and his Blessed Mother have for us.

Christ worked miracles of healing during his life on earth, and he continues working miracles of healing now, especially through the intercession of his and our Blessed Mother Mary. Use our new Healing Remembrance Card to bring comfort and strength to someone suffering from illness, injury, substance abuse, or emotional pain. You will be asking Mary to intercede during their time of suffering and to bring her Son’s miraculous healing. Read more about Mary’s healing intercession in Fr. Kevin’s letter.
