In this “Year of Saint Joseph,” we honor all loving fathers who model the trust, humility, perseverance, and loving commitment of this most chaste spouse of Mary. Joseph was a hardworking provider for the Holy Family. Whether your father is living or deceased, you can offer the loving gift of prayer by sharing your intentions here.

Also, join us in praying this prayer for your own father and all the “father figures” in your life.

Celebrate Father's Day
Father’s Day is June 21. This is a special day of remembrance and thanksgiving for the father figures in our lives – dads, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, godfathers, stepfathers, and foster fathers. Please send me the names of your father figures, along with your special prayer intentions, to be included in the Mass on Father’s Day here at our Lady’s National Shrine. As a sign of your prayerful devotion, you can also burn a Votive Light in their honor or memory. Let us pray that all fathers and father figures will be granted strength and courage to lead their families toward a deeper love for Jesus Christ.

We will celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16.We think of the strength of a father, his guiding hand, his wisdom, his help, and most importantly his love. God the Father gave us his only Son, Jesus Christ, so that we might be saved through him. Join us in praying for dads, granddads, godfathers, step-fathers, foster fathers, and all men shouldering the awesome responsibility of fatherhood. Send me the names of your father figures, along with your special prayer intentions to be included in our Mass on Father’s Day here at our Lady’s National Shrine on June 16. As a sign of your prayerful devotion, you can also burn a Votive Light in their honor or memory. Your loved ones and intentions will also be remembered throughout the month of June. And don't forget to request our new Father's Day card to share with the Fathers in your life!
