Lent Begins Next Week
Ash Wednesday is March 2. Throughout the holy season of Lent, let us pray through Mary to unite ourselves more fully with her Son, Jesus Christ. AMM offers a variety of ways to assist you along your spiritual journey this Lent:

Send your special intentions to be placed near Mary’s Shrine Altar
• Pray this Ash Wednesday prayer
• Pray this prayer for Lent each day
Request Easter Cards to send to loved ones

Together, let us ask Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal to bring us into ever greater union with her Son, Jesus, who has saved us through his holy passion, death, and resurrection. “Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2

February 11 is the memorial feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and is also World Day of Prayer for the Sick as proclaimed by Saint John Paul II. Which of your family members and friends are in great need of healing?

Share your personal petitions for remembrance throughout AMM’s Our Lady of Lourdes Octave of Masses. We will place your requests near Mary’s National Shrine Altar. You are invited to pray this prayer daily and request a Votive Light to symbolize your presence here at the Shrine. May each of us place our trust in the Immaculate Conception that she may obtain for us all that we need. Fr. Kevin writes in his Lourdes letter about one of the most recently approved miracles associated with Saint Bernadette’s 1858 apparitions of Our Lady — a religious sister who went to Lourdes to ask healing for others, but ended up receiving her own miraculous cure!

“O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.”

In the first issue of the 2022 Bulletin newsletter, Father Kevin introduces a new yearly theme. "We are Vincentians” promotes the idea that each of us is a special part of the worldwide family of religious and lay persons devoted to the mission of Saint Vincent de Paul. Together, we serve the material and spiritual needs of the poor. By this we grow closer to Christ. Don’t miss your invitation to come to Perryville, Missouri, for the annual May Procession.

Be sure to browse our gift shop’s spring religious items and order Easter cards to send the gift of Easter prayer to loved ones.

Be assured that you and your needs are remembered in the daily Mass and prayers of the Vincentian community at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
