Join fellow members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal in celebrating Our Blessed Mother’s Immaculate Conception. This is the solemn feast of God’s gracious gift to Mary in preserving her from the stain of original sin.

Appearing to Catherine Labouré in 1830, Our Blessed Mother called upon all people to invoke her as “conceived without sin” — the very phrase emblazoned on the medal she instructed Catherine to create and promote.

On December 8, 1854, Blessed Pope Pius IX released a document defining the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the document he states, “In the first instance of her conception, by a singular privilege and grace granted by God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, was preserved exempt from all stain of original sin.”

Take a moment now to entrust your Immaculate Conception intentions to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. They will be placed near Mary’s Altar at the National Shrine in Perryville and remembered throughout AMM’s eight-day octave of Masses beginning December 8.

You are also invited to recite this prayer daily during the octave to enhance your observance of this feast. Requesting a Votive Light to burn is another special sign of your love for the Mother of God — God’s pure and holy Queen through whom every grace and favor flow to us!

AMM’s annual Miraculous Medal Novena of Masses begins on Friday, November 18. Together we look forward to the November 27 feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, followed by the feast of Saint Catherine Labouré on November 28. You are invited to take part with us in several ways:
  1. Pray this prayer daily
  2. Send your petitions to be placed near Mary’s Shrine Altar for remembrance in the Masses and prayers.
  3. Request a Votive Light  to burn as a symbol of your spiritual presence

“Have a Medal struck after this model. All who wear it will receive great graces … Graces will abound for persons who wear it with confidence.”

-- Blessed Virgin Mary to Catherine Labouré, November 27, 1830, appearing to her in the image of “the Medal of the Immaculate Conception,” today called the Miraculous Medal

As members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal, we embrace the call to encourage others to live in complete trust and humble surrender to Jesus as Mary did, appealing to Our Lady for all the graces needed in our lives. How can you follow the example of Saint Catherine Labouré in practical, simple ways?

You can find opportunities to tell others the joyous story of her faith-filled life and her encounter with Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. You can request free, blessed Miraculous Medals attached to an explanation card to carry with you and to share with others. Similarly, for a suggested offering, you may order our beautiful double bookmark as a gift to anyone seeking the graces Mary promised through Catherine to all who turn to her in complete confidence. It is through gifts great and small that AMM is able to continue to mail millions of free, blessed Miraculous Medals each year. Will you support AMM’s ministry with a special contribution today? Your generosity will help ensure that Mary’s mission to share the Miraculous Medal continues for generations to come. And with your gift of $29 each or $58 for both, request a copy of “The Illustrated Book of Mary,” or “The Illustrated Book of Jesus,” two special hardback volumes exploring  many devotional titles, prayers, information about feast days, and more about Jesus and Mary.

Your prayers for dearly departed loved ones are a powerful spiritual gift that can hasten their journey toward full and everlasting union with God. Join the Association’s observance of All Souls Day at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal on November 2. Sharing the names of deceased relatives and friends assures them of a special remembrance throughout the month of November as well as during the month of the anniversary of their passing. In his all-powerful existence that transcends the limits of earthly time, God can apply the merits of your prayers to assist your departed loved one. What a powerful gift this is! You may also request a Votive Light  to burn for your deceased loved ones. Father Kevin’s letter tells more about All Souls Day.
