Association of the Miraculous Medal

Saint John Paul II said that, “the future of humanity passes by way of the family, and it is therefore indispensable and urgent that every person of good will should endeavor to save and foster the values and requirements of the family.” I’m writing you today to ask for your help in this most important endeavor.

First, I invite you to send your family petitions to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for remembrance. Let us place your prayers at Mary’s Shrine, asking her to intercede with her Son for a family in need.

Second, request a Family Remembrance Certificate to send to the family for whom you are praying. They will be comforted by your thoughts and prayers, and they will be strengthened by God’s grace to love and serve him in their family’s joyful witness to the world.

Saint John Paul II assures us that:
“Joys and sorrows, hopes and disappointments, births and birthday celebrations, wedding anniversaries of parents, departures, separations and homecomings, important and far-reaching decisions, the death of those who are dear, etc., are all suitable moments for thanksgiving, for petition, for trusting abandonment of the family into the hands of their common Father in heaven. The dignity and responsibility of the Christian family as the domestic Church can be achieved only with God's unceasing aid, which will surely be granted if it is humbly and trustingly petitioned in prayer.”

Our Blessed Mother—our Lady of the Miraculous Medal—invites us to call on her intercession. She promised Saint Catherine Labouré, and thus the world, that she would obtain God’s grace for all who trust in her care. By sending us your prayers for a family in need, you are confidently invoking our Blessed Mother’s holy intercession, and you are being “that person of good will, endeavoring to save and foster the values and requirements of the family.”

You may also wish to burn a Votive Light for a family in need.

Thank you! Your gifts support our ministry to those who seek Mary’s loving intercession, and your generosity supports the Vincentian Family of priests and brothers in their service to the poor.

May Mary watch over you, and may our Lady of the Miraculous Medal obtain the graces you so confidently seek.

Sincerely yours in our Lady,
Fr. Kevin McCracken, C.M.
