Association of the Miraculous Medal

We are a Resurrection people!

The Acts of the Apostles proclaims, “We ourselves announce to you the good news that what God promised our fathers he has fulfilled for us, their children, in raising up Jesus.” (Acts 13: 32-33)

God promised our ancestors that he would redeem mankind from sin, once and for all, and he fulfilled this promise through the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

By Christ’s Resurrection, our lives were swept up by Christ into the heart of divine life.  “He died for all so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who for their sakes died and was raised up.” (2 Cor 5:15)

Praise the Lord, we are a Resurrection people!

Happy Easter from your family here at our Lady’s Association.  Please request your Easter cards to be shared with someone in need of hope.  Your Easter card will be a reminder that belief in Jesus is belief in life over death. This is the truth of our Christian faith, and it is the reason for the season.

News this good must be shared!  Please use these cards to share Easter blessings with a family member, friend, neighbor, co-worker or perhaps someone in profound need of God’s grace such as a prisoner, orphan, or homeless person. When you do so, you are offering them a spiritual remembrance in our Easter Octave of Masses beginning on Easter Sunday and concluding on the second Sunday of Easter--Divine Mercy Sunday.

I also invite you to burn Votive Lights at our Lady’s Shrine as a sign of your prayer.  All you have to do is send me the names of your loved ones to be remembered in this special way.

Easter is a time of joyous conversion.  God’s grace works in our hearts to transform us into the saints he made us to be.  One of our members, Nicholas, from California, wrote recently to share this beautiful testimony of conversion.

I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks. My wife of 11 years, and mother to our 6 children, was never baptized or raised in any faith. I have been praying for her conversion since we were engaged. Only one month after receiving a Miraculous Medal from your association and putting it on her necklace to wear daily, she has decided to go through RCIA next year and be initiated into the Church at the next Easter Vigil. We will receive the sacrament of Holy Matrimony soon after. I cannot express to you the joy and gratitude I feel for this miracle. For years my wife has stood firm in her position that she was missing the spiritual component necessary to be a true believer and that she could not, in good conscience, become a Christian. Her conversion is truly a miracle!

As you present your Easter cards from our Lady’s Association to your loved ones, have confidence in God’s plan to help all his children experience the eternal joy of life in Christ.

Also, remember that any offering you make to the Association helps us promote devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, who intercedes for the world with her Son. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

May Jesus bless you this Easter, and always! And may Mary, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, obtain for you the eternal hope of our resurrected Lord Jesus.

Sincerely yours in Jesus and Mary,

Fr. Kevin McCracken, C.M.
