The new Easter card from our Lady’s Association has arrived and is yours to help bring great joy to those you love. Belief in Jesus is belief in life after death. This is the truth of our Christian faith, and it is the reason for the season. Happy Easter!
Our Lord has redeemed mankind forever, and nothing can now separate us from God. Christ’s saving death has turned the despair of the cross into the hope of the resurrection. As Saint Paul tells us, “the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us” (Romans 8:18).
News this good must be shared! Please use this card to share Easter blessings with your loved ones. When you do so, you are offering them a spiritual remembrance in our Easter Octave of Masses beginning on Easter Sunday and concluding on Divine Mercy Sunday.
I also invite you to burn Votive Lights at the Shrine for family and friends to be remembered in this special way.
Easter is a time of hopeful transformation. God’s grace works in our hearts to conform us to his love and bring us into communion with him. One of our members wrote me recently to share the following story of her husband’s inspiring conversion:
My husband and I have been married for fifty years. He was raised a strict Methodist, and I a strict Catholic. We were married in the Catholic Church, but he always remained Methodist. I had heard once, a long time ago, to hang a picture or figure of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in the bedroom or entrance of the room of a person you desire to become Catholic. I hung a beautiful ceramic plaque of Mary right outside our bedroom door. At 71 years of age, my husband became a Catholic. I truly believe that it was through Mary’s intercession that my husband became a Catholic at this age.
As you send out your Easter cards from our Lady’s Association, have confidence in God’s plan to use our Lady’s maternal care toward something miraculous! Also, remember that any offering you make to the Association helps us promote devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
May Jesus bless you this Easter, and always! And may Mary, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, obtain for you the eternal hope of our resurrected Lord Jesus!
Sincerely yours in Jesus and Mary,

Fr. Kevin McCracken,
