The Association of the Miraculous Medal spreads devotion to Jesus through Mary by sharing the Miraculous Medal she entrusted to Saint Catherine Labouré nearly 193 years ago. Throughout 2023, we hope you will send us your special intentions for remembrance in our daily Mass and prayers. You may always burn a Votive Light to express praise and gratitude, or in an appeal for ongoing needs in your life. Request free Miraculous Medals at any time — each medal is presented on a beautiful keepsake card with the Miraculous Medal story.

Our Lady keeps you close to her heart at every moment. Placing yourself in her tender and loving care will bring you nearer to God. Know that you remain in our daily prayers.

Send your petitions to be remembered during AMM’s annual novena of Masses celebrating Mary’s espousal to Saint Joseph. The novena begins January 14 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Our Lady and Saint Joseph are our models of holy living, especially as we face life’s daily difficulties. Mary and Joseph trusted in God’s plan for their marriage and family.

You are invited to burn a Votive Light as a sign of your faith-filled trust in God’s plan for you. Your intentions will be placed near Our Lady’s Altar here at the National Shrine throughout the novena and on the actual feast day, January 23. During the novena, join us in praying for the protection of all unborn children and that the many respect for life events across the United States are successful in changing hearts and minds to recognize the sanctity of human life. Mary and Joseph are our models of how to welcome the gift of life, no matter the circumstances.

In honor of Our Blessed Mother’s birthday on Thursday, September 8, we will begin an octave of prayer here at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. There’s no better occasion to entrust your intentions to the Mother of God. Maybe your intentions include a remembrance for a loved one’s healing, the soul of a deceased relative, someone’s return to the faith, or you want to offer a prayer of gratitude for favors and blessings received. Mary welcomes your special appeal as a sign of your faith in the goodness of her Son, Jesus. You may also burn a Votive Light in Our Lady’s honor. Its rays will symbolize your spiritual presence at the Shrine.  Read Fr. Kevin’s letter to learn more about the birthday candle being created by thousands of faithful members.

We hope to see you at the Association’s annual tradition on Sunday, May 1, at 1:00 p.m., CT, here in Perryville, Missouri. Please join us in person or in spirit as we honor Our Blessed Mother.

Making an offering is another way you can play an important part in the spiritual works of the Association of the Miraculous Medal. Gifts help spread devotion to Our Blessed Mother, who has promised to pour out graces and favors on all who appeal to her with confidence. Offerings also enable AMM to send free, blessed Miraculous Medals to anyone who asks.

Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity as we honor Mary throughout the month of May.

February 11 is the memorial feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and is also World Day of Prayer for the Sick as proclaimed by Saint John Paul II. Which of your family members and friends are in great need of healing?

Share your personal petitions for remembrance throughout AMM’s Our Lady of Lourdes Octave of Masses. We will place your requests near Mary’s National Shrine Altar. You are invited to pray this prayer daily and request a Votive Light to symbolize your presence here at the Shrine. May each of us place our trust in the Immaculate Conception that she may obtain for us all that we need. Fr. Kevin writes in his Lourdes letter about one of the most recently approved miracles associated with Saint Bernadette’s 1858 apparitions of Our Lady — a religious sister who went to Lourdes to ask healing for others, but ended up receiving her own miraculous cure!

“O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.”

Join AMM's Rosary Octave
The Association’s annual Rosary Octave of Prayer will begin Thursday, October 7, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (originally known as “Our Lady of Victory”). Pope Leo XIII had a deep devotion to Our Blessed Mother, this feast, and its importance. “This devotion to the Queen of Heaven has never shone forth with such brilliancy as when the Church has seemed to be endangered by heresy … an intolerable moral corruption, or by the attacks of powerful enemies,” he wrote. We do well to entrust to Mary the urgent temporal and spiritual needs of our families and in our world. Please be among AMM members joining us from home to pray one Rosary daily for eight days. You are also encouraged to send your intentions to be remembered during the octave at Our Lady’s Shrine. The feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is a wonderful opportunity to burn Votive Lights for your needs, or simply as a gesture of praise and gratitude for blessings and favors Our Lady has already bestowed upon you and your loved ones. God has promised the triumph of life over death and good over evil. We implore Mary, through the most holy Rosary, to lead us to the ultimate victory we seek!

When we lose a family member or close friend, reaching out with kindness and compassion can be of great comfort. You can share the consoling gift of prayer by requesting this beautiful Memorial Remembrance Card to send to the bereaved. It offers the deceased loved one a remembrance in the daily Mass and prayers at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for one year.

You may also burn a Votive Light at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for your departed loved ones.

Fr. Kevin’s letter shares more about the Memorial Remembrance Card, as well as the story of one member’s inspiring faith at the moment of his dear wife’s passing.

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:55)
