Association of the Miraculous Medal

In book after book in both the Old Testament and the New, we learn of the importance of seeking and living by the truth. The quest is always a journey toward Our Lord, from whom all truth flows.

The Association of the Miraculous Medal invites you to join us in praying for all students and educators as they return to classrooms for the 2021-22 academic year.

Your prayers matter in our increasingly secular society, where keeping God’s word at the center of education seems harder than ever. Your petition offered through Mary can help make sure that more students, teachers, and families keep Christ in their classrooms, on campuses, and in their homes.

Please send me the names of those you’d like remembered in the daily Mass and prayers offered at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal throughout the coming school year.

Remember to request the new “Back to School” Votive Light card you may mail to a particular student, educator, or family to let them know you’re thinking of them.

Did you know that one of Mary’s devotional titles is Our Lady Seat of Wisdom? Just as Our Blessed Mother instructed and cared for her Son over 2,000 years ago, today she cares for all who confidently seek her aid. Of course, Mary’s wisdom sprang not primarily from facts and figures learned in books, but from faithfully listening to and living out God’s word in her daily life — which so many agree is what today’s youth need most of all.

Finally, I encourage you to give returning students and teachers in your life their very own Miraculous Medal. AMM has many beautiful styles to choose from — including our diamond-cut “Back to School" lobster claw clasped medal that attaches easily to backpacks, keychains, lanyards, purses, and zippers.

In our Catholic tradition, we understand that there is but one Way, one Truth, and one Life; his name is Jesus Christ. Our Lady Seat of Wisdom seeks to bring us to him. Turn to Mary now and ask her intercession for parents, grandparents, guardians, and educators, to guide students in their efforts to form the next generation. Just as she and Joseph did for Jesus.

Thank you for your devotion to Mary’s mission carried out here at AMM. Your prayers and support are an inspiration to many!

May the grace of Our Lord Jesus be with all educators and students in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Sincerely in Jesus and Mary,

Fr. Kevin McCracken, C.M.
Spiritual Director

P.S. Request up to 500 free, blessed Miraculous Medals to distribute to area schoolchildren, educators, and family members. Each comes on an attractive fold-over card that tells of the medal's fascinating origin. Any freewill offering you wish to send will be gratefully appreciated.
