Association of the Miraculous Medal

One of the greatest gifts of the Catholic faith is that God’s grace, mercy, and love are always made available to us – especially through our prayers. However, it is through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, that our truest prayers are made. According to Saint Augustine, “…even Saint Michael, though prince of all the heavenly court, is the most eager of all the angels to honor her and lead others to honor her. At all times he awaits the privilege of going at her word to the aid of one of her servants.” (Saint Louis de Montfort, True Devotion to Mary, #8)

At the Association we receive many messages of gratitude to Mary for her motherly assistance in times of suffering. She helps her children draw close to Jesus, grow in holiness, and fill up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ.

“Dear Father,
As a Promoter for Mary, I enrolled my first 12 members in the Association of the Miraculous Medal. Two are close friends who started seeing immediate miraculous results in their lives. One member, a Baptist, is seeking our Blessed Mother’s loving care and is in the process of becoming a Catholic. The other friend, also a non-Catholic, was very appreciative of the prayers and the Miraculous Medal I gave her. She had an estranged daughter with drug and alcohol problems who lost her children. The daughter made amends with her mother. It was a miracle! Thank you so much Mother Mary for your intercession.”

Suffering does not separate us from Christ’s love and mercy. These times of trial and tribulation provide each of us, and those for whom we pray, the chance to seek the Father’s love and mercy. The Gospel of Matthew 21:22 says, “Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.” Some may question that their prayers are never answered. What is the real explanation?

When we pray, our imperfect nature is still present. Our individual desires are still held in our hearts. Even with the purest intent, we may still be apart from the will of God. How much does our Blessed Mother’s intercession aid our intentions? It is immeasurable! James 5:16 says, “The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.” Our Mother Mary, free of original sin by her Immaculate Conception, is our greatest intercessor! She purifies our intentions making them presentable to Christ Jesus. She is the gentle voice guiding us to a deeper union with her Son through which true grace may be received.

Ever true to her word, countless prayers have been answered through Mary’s intercession, especially for those who wear the Miraculous Medal in confidence. Physical healing is not the only grace by which lives have been affected. Great graces have been bestowed on those who have suffered from mental, emotional, and spiritual tribulations.

This Miraculous Medal Healing Remembrance Card was designed specifically with the images of the front and back of the Miraculous Medal. If you know someone who is suffering, please present this Miraculous Medal Healing Remembrance Card to them as a gift of hope and send us their name to be remembered in our Masses and prayers.

I also invite you to burn a Votive Light at our Lady's Shrine for your intentions and for those in need of healing.

Any offering you send will promote devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and support the Vincentian ministries. You will be helping us in our mission of bringing Jesus Christ to the world by inspiring devotion to Mary through her Miraculous Medal.

May our Lady’s intercession gain for you the answer to your prayers as you place your intentions at her Altar. And may the recipient of your Miraculous Medal Healing Remembrance Card experience the healing touch of our Lord Jesus.

Sincerely yours in our Lady,

Fr. Kevin McCracken, C.M.
Spiritual Director

P.S.  Remember to request your free blessed Miraculous Medals to distribute to others as another gift of hope. Each medal is attached to a card of explanation. Any freewill offering will be gratefully appreciated.
