Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

May 30, 2022

The first letter is from California.

Dear Father,

My mother suffered a broken ankle. While she was in the hospital, they found she had congestive heart failure. After several days she went into respiratory distress and was put in the ICU. She seemed to get a little better, but doctors were unable to give an exact diagnosis. Several days later we received the call that my mother’s heart stopped beating. My father and I prayed and asked Our Blessed Mother to intercede and save my mother's life so we would have a little more time with her. She was revived to the amazement of everyone in the ICU. The nurse even cried and said it was not her time to go. I believe the Blessed Virgin Mary heard our prayers and interceded for us. I was a lapsed Catholic, but found my way back to the Church. My mother loved Our Lord very much and was especially devoted to Mary. My mother passed away a week later, after spending the day with family and receiving calls from distant relatives. She also had the opportunity to receive Last Rites, and passed quickly. I thank Mary, Mother of God, for receiving such a beautiful blessing and for obtaining for us the gift of time!

The second letter is from Texas.

Dear Father,

I want to thank Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for interceding for me for a successful surgery that I had in 2015. She especially helped me with my recovery. The second blessing was that our oldest daughter, who came from out of town for my surgery, made it safely home wearing the Miraculous Medal you sent me in the mail. Thank you my Queen, my Mother!
