Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

The first letter is from an email.

Dear Father,

I had abnormal calcium deposits in my breast and needed a biopsy. At that time I was told I would need to be monitored again in six months. When I had my second mammogram, I was told there were more abnormal calcium deposits than before. My sister had given me a small packet of blessed oil touched by the relic of Saint Catherine Labouré and a prayer card she received from the Association of the Miraculous Medal. Each morning I would pray to Our Blessed Mother and apply the oil. Two weeks later when I saw my doctor, I was told I now have less calcification. In six months, I will need to go back for the last time and I only need to see the nurse. I am thankful for Our Blessed Mother’s intercession and the healing graces I’ve received from her Son Jesus.

The second letter is from Maryland.

Dear Father,

Many years ago, when I had my first child at Saint Agnes Hospital, a nun asked if she could pin a Miraculous Medal on my son, and gave me one to wear as well. This was years before we converted to the Catholic faith. I believe Mother Mary helped us along our journey. When I converted, I discovered that, as a newborn infant, I had been baptized at the same hospital, as they didn't expect me to live. My dad passed away when I was only 17 months old and my mother left me with other family members to be raised, so they were unaware of my baptism. My dear Mother Mary kept me close under her mantle all those years. I will be forever grateful for her love and the blessings I received.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you.
