Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

July 4, 2022

The first letter is from New York.

Dear Father,

I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for your prayers and for reaching out to me about my daughter. Although we have endured such a challenging year, just knowing that you continue to remember our daughter means so much to our family. Prayers like yours are what helps us put one foot in front of the other and to overcome such difficulty. I wanted you to know that our prayers are being answered as there is only a small bit of tumor left and it is dying out. Our daughter is currently on chemo meds and remains symptom free. She is living life as a five-year-old should. We ask you to continue to pray for her health and well-being. I have no doubt prayer and my Miraculous Medal have carried me through this whole ordeal. Our daughter is proof! Thank you, for all you do.

The second letter is from Pennsylvania.

Dear Father,

As children, my father led us in praying the Rosary every night. Our mother had moved out for another life when my siblings and I were at the ages of 18 months, three, and five. On a day when parents could visit our Catholic school, I cried as everyone had a mother there except for me. One of the nuns took me by the hand, and lead me to the chapel where she stopped in front of the statue of Our Blessed Mother. "This is your mother," she said. From that day on, my devotion to Mary has grown. Years later as teens, my sister and I shared a bed and she would fall asleep with her rosary which many times tangled on my feet. My sister died at the age of 19 in an accident. I named my second daughter after her. I have survived two bad car accidents, both occurred after dropping my daughter off at school—once when she was in junior high and once when she was in college. BOTH times, I had my rosary in my possession, and BOTH times, I could have been killed. I walked away from each incident with barely a scratch. Our Blessed Mother goes everywhere with me. I carry a rosary always, and I pray to her daily. I am now 72 years old.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you.
