Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

August 15, 2022

The first letter is from Illinois.

Dear Father,

The day after Mother's Day in 2020, I was hospitalized with atypical chest pain. I never had any health problems before, but I did end up needing an angiogram the next day. In the recovery room I asked my sister-in-law to get the nurse because I felt I was in trouble. We prayed a Hail Mary together and I told her that Our Blessed Mother was with me. Within a minute I had full cardiopulmonary arrest. I was wearing my Miraculous Medal which the nurse had re-pinned to my gown after the procedure. My doctor calls me “her miracle” because I made it through the heart attack. The priest said that God had sent me back. I believe that Jesus and Mary wanted me to finish my work here on earth, including the care of my 93-year-old mother. I was able to tell my aunt my story and give comfort to my friend with stage 4 cancer. I feel I am so blessed to have Our Blessed Mother as my loving mother.

The second letter is from Texas.

Dear Father,

My son got off from work one night and as he got on the freeway, the brakes in his truck failed. He had a Miraculous Medal key chain that I had given to him. I sincerely believe that Our Blessed Mother was with him in his time of need, keeping him calm and guiding him safely home.
