Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

March 1, 2021

The first letter is from Missouri.

Dear Father,

Several years ago I wrote to you about how sick my grandson was with a rare auto-immune disease. At that time, he was in the hospital with pneumonia and respiratory failure. This disease is so rare that the doctors felt certain they would not witness a similar situation in their lifetime. At one point, the doctors didn’t know what else to do to save my grandson. They tried an experimental blood plasma replacement to drain the bad antibodies from his blood. If this didn’t work, they planned to make my grandson as comfortable as possible until God called him to himself. The weekend following the experimental procedure, my grandson took a turn for the better! Fast forward seven years, my grandson, who is now nine, is still in remission! We have been blessed in so many ways. I attribute this to the loving intercession of our Blessed Mother. I pray to accept God’s will regarding what lies ahead for my grandson.

The second letter is from Massachusetts.

Dear Father,

I was in New England on vacation with family when I developed atrial fibrillation. My heart was beating so fast and I was scheduled to have it shocked which could have killed me due to my blood clotting issues. Because I was wearing the Miraculous Medal and constantly prayed to our Lady, along with some good work by nurses and doctors, my heart rate regulated on its own. I was able to walk my daughter down the aisle that weekend. Blessed be Mary, Mother of God.
