Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

February 8, 2021

The first letter is from Louisiana.

Dear Father,

I requested a Votive Light to burn at our Lady’s Association and asked our Blessed Mother to help my grandson who was having seizures. The seizures began nine years ago and the doctors could not find the source. Finally, the doctors were able to pinpoint the part of the brain that needed to be addressed. I prayed for our Lady’s intercession in guiding the doctors in finding the right treatment for his condition. My grandson started taking a new medication that has greatly helped him. Our Blessed Mother has come through again! She has always been there for me, especially from the time I became a single parent in 1980. I know she is truly my mother and that she wants the best for all her children.

The second letter is from Iowa.

Dear Father,

I’m writing to let you know that my prayers for employment have been answered. Twelve years ago, I was severely injured in an auto accident. After many years of recovery, treatments, and therapy, I was able to go back to school to be retrained. I received my bachelor’s degree in information systems management, all the while taking care of my elderly parents. It was a challenging and rewarding experience, and I graduated with honors. I have been looking for work for six months, asking God to direct me to the right employer. I was hoping to find a company that would find value in my experience and new education. I am very happy to say that, with the help of our Lady and Saint Anthony, I found the right place to work. I want to let others know it may take a while to receive God’s blessing, but be assured that you will receive it—in God’s time. If he thinks you need more virtue, then he will provide that while you are waiting. When I think about it, I needed the virtue far more than I needed the employment! Of course, God knows what we need, so don’t worry, and just keep faith even though it is sometimes hard. I kept my promise to our Lady to write to you about my situation and follow through with my gifts to her Association and the poor. God bless you.
