Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

March 4, 2019

The first letter is from Arizona.

Dear Father,

I was named after our Blessed Mother Dolorosa (Our Lady of Sorrows). My grandmother introduced me to the Association of the Miraculous Medal after the death of my mother in 1975. I became a promoter and stayed active for many years. Life got the best of me, and for years I stayed away from the Church. While I was working for Saint Vincent de Paul parish in Arizona, I had the privilege of meeting many different people. On one occasion, the President of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of Mexico visited our campus. He brought gifts for everyone. It was during this time that I realized the importance of my devotion to our Blessed Mother. I pray tribute to this man for this realization and I am so grateful that our paths crossed when they did.

The second letter is from Massachusetts.

Dear Father,

Since I was a child, I have always been drawn to Mary. When one of my siblings or a family member was hurt, my mother would find me hiding, praying the Hail Mary. I have two amazing stories of Mary's intercession that I want to share. I was given special prayer beads that my husband's aunt (a sister) used when praying daily. These beads are always with me. My purse was stolen with the beads inside. I was devastated. I prayed to Mary for the beads to be returned to me. Two weeks later, the purse was mailed to me. Everything was intact, except for my cash. My special beads are back with me. No “sender” name was on the package. The other story is that when my sister was facing cancer, I faithfully prayed the rosary. The chains of my rosary turned gold and today, 20 years later, my sister is free of cancer! I wear, or carry, my Miraculous Medal at all times. I know Mary is with me.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you.
