Association of the Miraculous Medal

Monthly Intention of His Holiness Pope Francis

Each month, the Holy Father invites us to add a special petition to our Mass and prayers. During January, please join fellow AMM members in asking Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for her intercession with Our Lord, Jesus Christ:
“For true human fraternity …
We pray for all those suffering from religious discrimination and persecution; may their own rights and dignity be recognized, which originate from being brothers and sisters in the human family.”
Let us pray to the Lord.

MASS UPDATE

All Masses at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, Missouri have been temporarily suspended until further notice starting December 26. This decision made by the Superior of Saint Mary’s of the Barrens Church to suspend Masses temporarily was to protect the priests and brothers who have health issues from the anticipated Omicron variant. Health experts expect Covid-19 cases to surge over the next few weeks in the state of Missouri. The Shrine church remains open for visitors to come and pray. The hours of operation for the Shrine Church is Monday-Sunday, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., CT. Masses will resume when risk of infection is lessened for the elderly priests and brothers living at Saint Mary’s of the Barrens. We pray that Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal brings comfort to those currently suffering from Covid-19.
