May 24, 2010

This letter is from West Virginia.

Dear Father,

I want to tell you a story about a young friend of mine. Her family moved in across the street from us when she was three and she became my daughter’s best friend.

When she was in her early 20’s, she married and had a little boy. After a couple years of marriage, her husband decided he didn’t want to be married any more, so they divorced. She and her son moved back in with her parents.

Years later, she remarried. Two months after her father died, she was diagnosed with kidney cancer, and had a kidney removed.

Two years ago, she found out she was pregnant, but left her abusive husband the next January. The following March doctors found a shadow on her remaining kidney, but they didn’t want to operate until her baby was born.

All during her ordeals, I’ve sent her healing cards from the Association, and kept prayer petitions at our Lady’s Shrine for her

Because she didn’t have health insurance and was on state aid, she had a hard time finding a doctor who would care for her.

That April, she delivered a beautiful baby girl, but almost died because of so much blood loss.

Last August, she went to a major cancer center, where she had an MRI. They found a shadow on her liver and adrenal gland. The initial shadow on her kidney turned out to be a kidney stone.

The doctors were convinced the other shadows were cancer and decided to operate. Just before her surgery I gave her a Miraculous Medal and encouraged her to pray to our Lady so she could be healed (she was not Catholic). I also sent her another healing card from the Association.

After a five-hour surgery, the surgeon came out and said to her mother, “I can’t believe it, but it’s not cancer. It’s just a small benign tumor. It’s a miracle.”

So Father, here is another miracle, and I give full credit for it to our Lady and her Miraculous Medal.

Please continue to pray for her son. He’s 14 and had stomach problems due to her former marriage and the thought of possibly losing his mother. Prayers are so powerful. Thank you.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you .
