Dear Father,

I received a Miraculous Medal from a friend who had visited the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Paris..

I did not know anything about the medal at the time and could not read the words surrounding the Virgin because they were in French.

After searching the internet for the translation, I learned of the Miraculous Medal’s history and immediately became devoted to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

At that time, I was teaching second grade in our parish’s Catholic school. It was May, and I wanted to impress upon my students that we can bring anything to our Lady in prayer through the rosary and her Miraculous Medal and she will intercede for us.

I was especially praying for a second child. My husband did not want another child. However, his heart was changed through prayer and our Lady’s intercession.

We had a difficult time conceiving our second child, but again through prayer and our Lady’s intercession, our daughter was born the following year. Her middle name is Rose, in honor of our Blessed Mother who is the “Rose of Heaven” and the reason for the name of the holy rosary.

I know the Virgin Mother prays for us and I will always be devoted to her. I am especially devoted to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for it is through her that I asked for intercession.

I love our Virgin Mary and feel that she draws me closer to her Son, Jesus, through her prayers.
