The first letter is from Virginia.

Dear Father,

Every night I pray the novena and ask the Blessed Mother to protect my family.

One day after a heavy downpour, my 17-year-old grandson and six of his friends jumped into the water of a rain-swollen creek. The other six boys made it back fine, but my grandson was swept one mile downstream. He was under water for quite some time, but was able to pull himself onto a rock.

It took three rescue groups over an hour to get to him. One rescuer was swept downstream also. Luckily, he grabbed onto a tree. The rescue crews said they thought they were coming to search for a body when they first got the emergency call over the radio.

Only by the Blessed Mother’s intervention did my grandson survive. Many thanks go out to her. She is always there for my family and me.

The second letter is via email.

Dear Father,

I’m so thankful for our Lady’s intercession for a good friend of mine. She is now stable and resting comfortably at home.

Some time ago, she was hospitalized for an intestinal ulcer. While hospitalized, the gastric acids invaded all her major organs. She had a heart attack, multiple infections, and her other organs began shutting down. The doctors said that they had never seen a case this bad before, and told her husband they didn’t think she would pull out of it.

However, after months of treatment, she is now home recovering. I believe she was healed thanks to the Votive Light I had burning for her, many prayers, and our Lady’s intercession.
