This letter is from Florida.

Dear Father,

This story is about a life journey of my nephew, which started on the feast of the Assumption some years ago.

He is a young man who had been rejected by his biological father when he was just a baby.

He suffered the loss of his best friend, my son, when my family came to live in the United States. He then had to grieve the death of his grandfather, who was his true friend and mentor.

As a teen, he attended a sound and highly regarded Catholic boy’s academy. However, as brilliant as he was, he got involved with the wrong crowd. He caused terrible distress to his mother, my sister, both physically and emotionally.

I have always prayed for him, as have many others. While praying for him a few years ago, on August 15, my sister called and said with a distressed voice, “he’s done it again!” This time, he had been in an accident in her car.

In spite of this news, I felt at peace, because I trusted in God’s word. Since that accident, my nephew has journeyed with a special love for Mary. He carries a small statue of her wherever he goes. That day was the beginning of a new life for him.

My brother sacrificed and maintained him at school overseas, since he firmly believed that Mary, our Mother, would not let him down.

Last Monday, my nephew gave us the news that he had passed all his final exams for his undergraduate degree program, having received second honors. He has tentatively been accepted into the Master’s program at his university.

Thank you, dearest Mother, for your motherly love and intercession.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you .
