February 8, 2010

This letter is from Pennsylvania.

Dear Father,

This is a story about the devotion my son and I have for the Blessed Mother in Jesus’ name.

A few Thanksgivings ago, my son was coming home from college. He had gotten a late start and was driving at night. The road was very bad because of a snow and ice storm, and the weather was getting worse.

All of a sudden, I got this terrible feeling that something was wrong. I asked Mary if she would protect my son and watch over him.

About 45 minutes later I received a phone call from my son, telling me had had totaled his car.

Thank God, my son was in the state trooper’s car, and unhurt. He told me how lucky he was to be alive, and to walk away without a scratch. The state trooper also told me that my son was not at fault in any way and that this was considered a true accident.

My son told me he skidded on the ice, hit the guardrail, and then kept spinning. He then hit the median strips and then spun back around and hit the guardrail again.

Later when he returned home, I asked him, “Weren’t you afraid when you kept spinning around?” His comment was, “I felt like there were pillows wrapped around me.”

I told him about the feeling I had and that I had prayed to Mary to protect him.

I said, “Those pillows were the arms of the Blessed Mother wrapped around you.”

My son still wears the Miraculous Medal and is very devoted and thankful to Mary and so am I.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you .
