This letter is from Georgia.

Dear Father,

I work for a major corporation.  In March of last year, my department was notified that our contract would not be renewed and we would all be out of work by July.

About that time, I received a letter from the Association. I saw that one of the intentions you pray for is employment. I checked it off, sent it in, and began to carry the Miraculous Medal in my pocket every day.

Well, you must have prayed night and day! Toward the end of July, we were told the contract had been extended one month. Toward the end of August, we were notified the contract had been extended two more months in order to get through the end of the quarter.

When the end of the quarter was a disaster, the company decided to keep us on three more months. So there we were, six months later, and the contract was truly finished at the end of January. But those six months bought me the time to rewrite my resume, polish my interviewing skills, and look for another position.

That brings me to the second part of the story. I decided to start looking for a new job with my current employer. I applied for many job openings and rarely heard anything. It was very discouraging. Finally, I received a call for a job interview relating to one of these positions.

After the interview, the interviewer didn’t think I had all the qualifications needed for the position she was trying to fill, but that I was very qualified for another job another interviewer needed to fill.

She asked if I’d mind if she forwarded my resume to him. I told her to go ahead. He called that afternoon to set up an interview for the following day. After that and two more interviews, I got the job!

In my opinion, your prayers worked two miracles for me: six months of additional employment and a new job.

I offer my grateful prayers of thanks to our Lady, and continue to carry my Miraculous Medal every day.
