This letter is via email.

Dear Father,

Some time ago, my 19-year-old daughter started a diet that made her very sick.  She soon lost almost 30 pounds and became extremely depressed.

After visiting doctors, she was diagnosed as having anorexia nervosa and depression.

She went on a rigorous treatment to regain her lost weight with two doctors, a counselor, and a nutritionist trying to help her. Little or no progress was happening.

Her weight was down substantially. Since she ate very little, she was told to start taking a nutritional supplement drink.

I consulted with the best psychiatrist in our area and his reaction was that patients with her condition tended to maintain the weight they had, not gain any weight back, and that the result was the possibility of dying.

Somehow, I became aware of the Miraculous Medal and the story behind it.

I found a Miraculous Medal, and asked my daughter to wear it on her bracelet.

She very slowly started eating more, and today she eats normally, has gained a good portion of her weight back, and is not depressed any longer.

She still wears the Miraculous Medal on her bracelet every day. I give grateful thanks to our Lady and her Miraculous Medal for this.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you .
