The first letter is from Wisconsin.
Dear Father,
Last month I celebrated my third year of being cancer free after being diagnosed with stage three melanoma.
On the day the doctors told me of my diagnosis, I received a rosary in the mail. On it, I noticed a Miraculous Medal. I researched the medal and the story about it.
After learning about Saint Catherine Labouré, I began praying to her for healing and I feel she interceded to give me a cure in my battle with cancer.
My wife and I also pray the rosary daily and know this has helped us both become better Catholics and more Christ-like in our lives.
The second letter is from California.
Dear Father,
Thank you Mother Mary for your assistance. I made a mistake at work, which I confessed to immediately. I had forgotten that I had an extra shift to work, and never showed up for it. I could have lost my job. In this tough economy, I’m certain it would have been very difficult to find another job. It is also important for me to be working so that I can have all the benefits of a full-time employee. These benefits help me to take care of my mom, who has dementia.
Without them, it would be difficult to travel to her and be able to take her to all her appointments. I prayed and asked Mary’s help to allow my employer to see it was an honest mistake. I’m honored to say that Mother Mary helped me out. I am still employed.
Many thanks for your graces, Mary. Since my mom’s diagnosis, you have taught me patience. Since my grandmother’s passing, you have taught me faith and diligence. With my nephew overseas in Iraq in the service, you have taught me to trust and believe in God’s will.
