Dear Father,

When my 21-year-old son was diagnosed with stomach cancer last December, I was devastated.

I contacted the Shrine with a request to burn a Votive Light for his recovery, and to place him under the protection of the Blessed Mother.

My son is now home and eating well, trying to gain his strength back. According to his doctor, my son is now cancer free. This has both of us smiling now.

I really wish the cancer had affected me instead of my son. He has been anything but disagreeable throughout this whole process. He has an inner strength I never knew of until now.

The second letter is from New Jersey.

Dear Father,

I want to thank our Lady publicly for helping my son find a good job.

Please light a Votive candle to our Blessed Mother in thanksgiving for her kindness to me and my son.
