This letter is via email.

Dear Father,

I wanted to tell you how my wife helped save my life. She gave one of her patients, who at the time, was a fallen away Catholic for many years, a book to read. After reading that book, this woman returned to the Church.

Just before Thanksgiving a few years ago, the same patient stopped by our house bringing with her four small gifts, one for each member of our family, our daughter and son, my wife and I.

You must understand that I was not Catholic and only attended Church with my family on rare occasions, and only after my wife begged me. I wasn’t even sure if there was a God.

Now as Christmas drew near, I knew that I wanted to buy my wife something very special, something that I knew would show her how very much I loved her.

That Christmas morning when my wife opened her present, she began to cry. The present I gave her was a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In a way, I guess you could say that I brought our Lady into our home on my own.

Shortly after Christmas, I occasionally began to pray the rosary. This very same patient introduced me to a wonderful priest, and not too long afterwards I became a member of the Mystical Body of Christ, his most Holy Catholic Church.

I want to add that not only did my wife return to the Church later that year, her three teenage children from a previous marriage also became members of the Church.

The most precious gift I received just before Thanksgiving that year is one that I still wear to this very day—the Miraculous Medal.

I want to thank all of you who pray the rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Seldom do you see or hear about the fruits of your labors in prayer. Who knows, maybe one of your prayers was used in some way for my conversion, that of my wife, and our children. Prayer is so powerful.

I thank our Lady for all of her intercessions, not just mine. Please pray for the poor souls who have no one to pray for them

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you .
