The first letter is via email.
Dear Father,
Some years ago, I found out that I had nodules on my thyroid, which was enlarged. I fervently prayed to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
My mother had been a devout member of the Miraculous Medal Association and always enrolled her entire family in the Association. She passed away before my troubles with my thyroid began.
A priest visiting our parish reminded us in his homily about the devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. I began praying to her and asking her to ask her Son to cure me. I also began wearing the medal pinned to my clothing.
Three months later, when I returned to my doctor, she informed me that the latest scan showed the nodules had shrunk and were not cancerous.
I know our Blessed Lady’s intercession cured me. My sister-in-law visited the Vatican later that year. I asked her to bring me a gold Miraculous Medal. She did, and I have not removed it from my neck in four years. I relate my experience as often as I can to anyone who will listen.
The second letter is from New Jersey.
Dear Father,
I wish to share a short story with you. As children, we were told, “Always wear your Miraculous Medal, especially when you go to the shore.”
Thus, years ago when I entered the convent (54 years to be exact), I continued to wear the medal even though it is not a custom in our community.
Mary was my security. Last year I feel she really had a part in saving me. As I was driving alone in the car, the car skidded, and I ran into a telephone pole and broke the pole in half.
Once I realized that I had been in an accident, I noticed the windshield completely shattered. The air bag hit me, causing bruises, but I was able to walk away from the wreck. However, my car was totaled.
The police officer said I was lucky I wasn’t thrown out the window, as I probably would have been killed.
I know it was our Blessed Mother, whose medal I was wearing, who protected me. She surely had a hand in my safety. God bless you in your future work.
