This letter is from Missouri.
Dear Father,
I’m writing this letter for a friend of mine. She does not think she writes very well. She asked me to write her story, so here it is.
On Mother’s Day around 1 a.m., she had to take her husband to the emergency room. She thought he was having a heart attack and was very frightened.
He was in great pain, with clammy skin and all the symptoms of a heart attack. She told the nurse in charge that if her husband was dying she did not want to be left in the corridor; she wanted to be with him.
They took her to a waiting room and suggested that she call someone to be with her. She took out her rosary and thought to herself that Jesus was her best friend.
Then it dawned on her that it was Mother’s Day and that the Blessed Mother would be watching over her and her husband. She immediately felt better.
After a short while, doctors found out that her husband was having a gall bladder attack. He is only 41 and the bladder was full of infection. He was put on antibiotics for 24 hours before they operated on him. One of his lungs collapsed because of the trauma.
The night before the surgery, the doctor came in the room with them and prayed.
The surgery went well. He was out of the hospital within the week.
He went back for a check-up in three weeks and the doctor was amazed at his recovery. My friend told the doctor that it was the healing of the Lord and he agreed.
Her husband was soon back at work and they are so grateful.
