This letter is via email.

Dear Father,

During my sixth month of pregnancy, the doctor found that my baby had swelling on the left side of his brain.

After sending me to a specialist and undergoing numerous ultrasounds, they found that the swelling was only getting worse. The doctor even suggested terminating the pregnancy, but my husband and I said that just wasn’t an option.

During my pregnancy, I received a rosary in the mail with a Miraculous Medal on it. Thinking nothing of it at the time, I set it aside.

A few weeks later, a friend of mine gave me a Miraculous Medal to wear. Once I started wearing the medal, the news about my son started changing for the better. Wearing that medal made me a total believer. I have not taken it off since.

My son was born a month premature, but that rosary which I had previously set aside was in his crib in intensive care. It was also there with him after his brain surgery. Now it lies in his crib with him every night to protect him.

I thank Mary for helping my son and me through a most difficult time. I knew that if anyone could help us, it would be a mother, because only she would understand what I was going through.
