The first letter is from Illinois.

Dear Father,

I’m sending a request to have a Mass of thanksgiving said for my husband. It was a miracle my husband wasn’t killed when he was in a traffic accident.

He was in a head-on collision with a very large semi-trailer truck and his life with spared with only minor injuries.

I praise God, the Virgin Mary, and his guardian angel for saving his life.

Thank you Virgin Mary for saving him.

The second letter is from New York.

Dear Father,

I would like you to know about an answered prayer and to thank our Lady for it. It involves my son’s teacher who is suffering from an infection that the doctors cannot seem to diagnose and treat.

A few months ago I gave her one of the prayer cards you sent me. I also had a Votive Light burned for her healing at our Lady’s Shrine via the internet.

She is not a Catholic, but I told her to try Jesus through our Blessed Mother because they never fail. I never asked her about her condition after that, not wanting her to think I was nosey. Today, she told me that her bleeding and other symptoms had stopped. She told me, “Your candle worked,” and now wants to know more about our Lady’s Association.

When I pick up my children from school this afternoon, I will surely bring something to her so she can connect with you on her own. I do hope and pray that she continues to get well and that she will discover the tremendous love God and his Mother Mary have for her. I pray too that our loving God will continue to bless you and everyone at our Lady’s Shrine.
