The first letter is from Massachusetts.

Dear Father,

As a cancer survivor of 27 years, I feel God has smiled upon me.

However, recently I have had a strange sensation in my spine. I started a novena to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and six other saints.

I talk to our Lady every day of my life. My x-rays and bone scans came out fine. I shall always be grateful to our Lady and all the saints who have helped me. I know God and his beautiful mother have done so much for all of us. I often wonder, “Do they ever sleep?”

I really don’t know where I would be without my faith. Thank you, Father, for your encouragement in the past, and for your prayers. As we know, prayer is the best medicine.

The second letter is from New Jersey.

Dear Father,

Back in 1968, when my son was born, he needed emergency surgery when he was only one day old. A sister at the hospital gave me a Miraculous Medal to hold while I prayed during his 7-1/2 hour surgery.

I prayed that Mary would heal my son. My three older children who attended the local Catholic grade school also prayed with their classmates in our parish church for my son’s health.

This year, my son again had emergency surgery on his stomach. This surgery was related to the surgery he had when he was only a day old. Both times, his life was in danger. Again, I prayed to Mary.

I sent my son a Miraculous Medal Healing Certificate from our Lady’s Association and sent his name to her Shrine for prayers for healing. I thank Mary and her Son for saving my son’s life.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you.
