This letter is from the Netherlands.
Dear Father,
Thank you for the Miraculous Medal you sent to me last week. I wear the medal around my neck next to my heart.
The strength that mother Mary gives me this way is nearly touchable. When I was in high school, I left home and lived by myself.
A few years later, I became a drug addict. Sometimes when my life became hard, I turned to God, but when my life didn't change quickly, I gave up on him.
I'm glad he didn't give up on me. Five years ago, my ex-boyfriend threw me out of a third floor window of our apartment. I was in a coma for two and a half months. But when I nearly died, God showed me something about myself. He took me on a journey through time and space. There is no other way to explain what I saw and felt. A greater gift, he couldn't give me. Life is full of ups and downs and it's supposed to be that way so we can learn about ourselves and others.
God is there in all of us if you want to see him. I pray and meditate a lot these days. God lives in me and I'm happy he opened my eyes.
Thank you for the Miraculous Medal and may the love of God shine on you. |
