This letter is from Texas.
Dear Father,
Fifteen years ago, I fell in love and married a wonderful and loving man who came into my life after several years of broken relationships and a failed marriage.
After three years of marriage, he adopted my four-year-old son from my previous marriage, and we then married in the Catholic Church.
I was born and raised a Catholic and of course have received all of my sacraments. However, my husband had never been an active member of any church, much less been baptized.
I have been an active member of my parish church for years and even though he never stopped me from attending Mass, my husband didn’t show any interest in going with me when I’d invite him.
I always prayed for him to our Blessed Mother for her intercession with her Son for a very special blessing for my husband to allow himself to open his heart to our Lord Jesus Christ.
In my heart I knew and felt it would happen. You see, Father, I never lost faith because I know God answers all prayers. Yes, I prayed for several years for this to happen, but only God knows when the right time is.
Last year, unexpectedly, my husband expressed to me he was finally ready. He was ready to receive Christ in his life, and asked me if I would attend the RCIA meetings in our parish with him.
That was a very happy moment in my life. I knew at that moment that our Lady, the Blessed Mother, had something to do with it. Just this past Easter, my husband joined the Church, and received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Communion all at once.
I want to thank our Blessed Mother for all her answers to my prayers, and for leading my husband to her Son, Jesus. I ask that she continue leading all our family to him. We all carry our Lady’s Miraculous Medal with us at all times.
