The second letter is also from Michigan.
Dear Father,
For three years, I have applied at several homes for senior citizens, hoping to be accepted as a resident, but I was unable to get into one.
There have been two attempted burglaries of my home, and I live in fear. Two years ago, I put my home up for sale, but the neighborhood is deteriorating and I’ve had no qualified offers.
A suburb near me started to build a senior complex. I put my application in, but I didn’t get my hopes up. To my surprise, a month later I got a letter to come for an interview.
About twenty minutes into the interview I think I stopped breathing when the interviewer said, “You’re in.” I cried, and she cried with me.
Now my heartache begins as I again try to sell my home. Please pray that our Lady of the Miraculous Medal sends someone to buy it. I’ve lived there for 45 years and it will be hard to leave. I know I won’t get much for it, but what am I to do. Thank you for your prayers.
