This letter is from Massachusetts.

Dear Father,

I'd like to tell you my Miraculous Medal story. I'm 83 and still live alone, but a nurse comes in to visit me every week. My family wanted someone to help me take care of myself. One day my daughter, who is blind, and the nurse were both here with me.

My daughter told me, "Mom, someone is at your door and wants to come in." I hadn't heard anyone, but went to the door and no one was there. I went down the front walk and still could not see anyone.

As I came back up the steps, I looked down and there, stuck in the carpet near the wall was a medal. I had just cleaned that morning and there was nothing there when I cleaned. The medal was old and very worn, but when I washed it up, I found out that it was a Miraculous Medal! I checked around with my neighbors and my parish priest, but no one had lost a medal or brought one to my home.

I began wearing the medal around my neck. A week later, I had to go to the hospital for a routine X-ray. They found that my carotid artery was blocked, and I needed surgery right away.

I only remember sitting in a wheelchair holding on to my Miraculous Medal getting ready for major surgery. I didn't wake up until five weeks after the surgery. When I did, I looked around and all I wanted was my Miraculous Medal. I believe my medal had come from the Blessed Virgin to tell me of the problem I didn't even know I had.

I wear my medal all the time and believe Mary came to tell me not to be afraid, that I would be all right. They told me that I would've lived only for another two weeks if I hadn't had the surgery.

When I go out, I wear my medal over my clothes so everyone will know how much I love our Lady.

Please pray for my daughter who is completely blind, and for my son who is half blind and going deaf. They need the best care they can get. My heart is very sad for them.

I'm glad "it's" over and I have another chance in life. I need to be here for my children, and I love them very much. I always tell them I'll live to see a cure for their blindness as doctors all over the world are working on one.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you.
