The first letter is from California.
Dear Father,
Five years ago I had a mastectomy for breast cancer. I have been in remission since then. At my last checkup, an X-ray showed fluid in my lungs.
I had ultra-sonic surgery to remove the fluid, but the build-up continued. Since then I've had five more surgeries to aspirate the fluid.
Finally, I had another surgery to inject a substance to seal a gap between my ribs and the walls of my lungs. The gap was presumably allowing the fluid to leak into my lungs.
This final surgery drained my strength completely. I felt so weak I thought I might die.
I prayed to our good, loving, and caring God and to Blessed Mary, our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. A lot of my relatives and friends prayed for me too. Little by little, I regained my strength, and though no words were spoken, I know God heard my prayers and those of the others because I can feel it in my heart.
Thanks to our Lady and our loving God for answering these prayers. |
