Saint Vincent de Paul founded the Congregation of the Mission, popularly known today as Vincentians, in 1625 to educate men for the priesthood and to preach the Gospel to the poor.  We are always thinking about how we can do our mission more effectively.  With this in mind, we united three of our provinces on the evening of January 24, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas.  I’d like to share with you what this reconfiguration means for us.

 

 

Conference in Paris

Martyrs Follow Jesus, Even in Suffering

During Lent we often take time to reflect and pray on the lives of the saints, many of whom suffered martyrdom for their faith.  Martyrs and saints have many messages to give us.  I invite you to read about some 20th century martyrs and the messages these holy people left us.

 

 

Life Insurance - the Convenient Gift

Pilgrimage to Rome and Sicily

I will be leading a pilgrimage to various cities in Italy, especially Rome and Sicily this April 12-23.  We will remember you in our prayers at the various churches and shrines along our way.  It is always a pleasure to have you participate spiritually in our pilgrimages.

 

We, of course, would rather have you along with us to visit all of these special places.  Remembering you and your intentions along the way is the next best way of your being there.  Please send me your petitions and burn a Votive Light at our Lady’s Shrine as a symbol of your prayers.
