From Father Ward
In July 2009, I began my ministry as president of the Association, and wrote my first Bulletin in August 2009. I now start my second year of service to you. Thank you for your prayers and generosity during this time.
As a priest for 33 years, I’ve had the tradition of praying the rosary each day. However, I think the rosary and its meaning became more powerful to me when my mother was dying from cancer. She needed 24-hour care and I stayed with her to take care of her. Each day we prayed the rosary in the afternoon after celebrating Mass. Hearing the words from the tape we used was helpful at a painful time in my life.
Our feature article briefly traces the rich history of the rosary and the individual prayers that comprise it.
Member Highlight
From time to time, we feature one of the Association’s special friends. One of our long-time members, Eunice Lion, shares her thoughts about our Lady and what the Association means to her. Eunice is sharing her experiences with you as a way of thanking our Lady for her many blessings. She hopes her story will help spread devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
Marian Pilgrimage to Croatia, October 4-15, 2010
This October 4-15, I will be leading a pilgrimage to Croatia. Highlights of our pilgrimage are visits to Zagreb, Medjugorje, Dubrovnik, and other beautiful places throughout this fascinating country. Send your intentions for the pilgrimage and burn a Votive Light at our Lady’s Shrine as a symbol of your prayerful presence with us on our journey.
Don't Let the State Make Your Will
What can you do to control the way your assets are used and distributed after your death? It’s very simple—contact an attorney and make a will. If you fail to write a will, one thing is certain—the state will do it for you. Send for our free brochure, “The State Has Made Your Will.” This brochure mentions some of the many reasons why you should take control and make your own will. Please consider making a gift to the Association of the Miraculous Medal in your will.
Vincentian Family
Your offerings and prayers help spread devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal not only here in the United States, but around the globe. One of our Vincentian seminarians writes from Kenya about the efforts he and his classmates are making to promote devotion to our Lady and assist the poor.
Online Gift Shop
I have an attractive gift to offer you. Our gift is a Clear Crystal Rosary. We also have many more resources at our online Gift Shop.
Monthly Giving Program
Please consider making a monthly gift to our Lady’s Association to help keep the Association’s administrative costs to a minimum. Our Monthly Giving Program makes it possible for you to add an automatic charge to your credit card, or a debit to your bank account on the 10th of each month. This allows more of your donation to go directly to the works of our Lady’s Association.
