We traditionally think of May as a special month to honor Mary. Take this opportunity to
send your petitions and
burn Votive Lights at her Shrine. I will keep your petitions at our Lady’s Shrine Altar for the entire month of May. We will remember them and you in our daily prayers and Masses.
Member Highlight
From time to time, we do a special profile of one of the Association’s special friends. One of our newer members, Midge Bigler, shares her thoughts about our Lady and what the Association means to her. Midge is sharing her experiences with you as a way of thanking our Lady for her many blessings. And she hopes her story will help spread devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
A Member’s Legacy
Making a charitable gift through a will or trust has become a popular way of giving. Monica (Healey) Derse was a shy, private person who loved the Lord and our Lady very much and believed strongly in her charitable works. I invite you to read about her final gift of love to the Association through her estate.
Pilgrimage Report
We had an enjoyable and a prayer-filled pilgrimage. All of us on the pilgrimage remembered you in our prayers at the many churches and shrines we visited, and especially at our Lady’s Shrine in the Chapel of the Apparitions in Paris.
Vincentian Family
The Vincentian Family article in this issue highlights a very special organization in the Vincentian Family—the International Vincentian Marian Youth. It is a worldwide organization not well known in our own country, although we are fortunate to have a local group here in Southeast Missouri. I invite you also to read about the work of the Vincentian priests and brothers who minister in the Province of the South.
