A Message of Thanks
We, the Vincentian seminarians at Perboyre Mission House in Chicago, would like to thank all of the members of the Miraculous Medal Association who sent us Christmas cards.
Every year, we look forward to receiving the cards and the notes and letters many of you write. We are very grateful for your prayers and good wishes. They are wonderful gifts of which we are very appreciative.
Our formation program in Chicago is grateful for your support and prayers. We pray the Miraculous Medal Novena every week, and we are grateful to our Lady for her prayers. We know that with your prayers and hers, we will find God’s will for each of us and hopefully one day we will become great Vincentian priests.
If anyone wishes to receive the mailings from Perboyre Mission House, please send a note to Reverend Patrick McDevitt, C.M., Perboyre Mission House, P.O. Box 146349, Chicago, IL 60614-3298. Thank you and God bless.

News from Perboyre Mission House
Jeremy Dixon is in his fifth year in formation. He was installed as an acolyte in October by our Provincial Superior, Father James Swift, C.M., and took perpetual vows with the Vincentian community in January. Jeremy ministers with young adults at Saint Alphonsus Parish on Chicago’s north side, while continuing his theological studies at Catholic Theological Union. He expects to be ordained in the spring of 2010.
Toshio Sato is a novice with the community. Along with his director, Father Tony Dosen, C. M., he took a study tour of the historical sites of the Vincentian community in Bardstown, Kentucky, and Perryville, Cape Girardeau, and Saint Louis, Missouri last summer. Over the past several months Toshio has been involved in various workshops on the life of Saint Vincent, prayer, human formation, and learning more about the Vincentian charism throughout the United States and the world.
Karl Ries has joined us and is in his first year of formation. He is a graduate of DePaul University. He is studying philosophy in preparation for his theology studies at the Catholic Theological Union.
Father Guillermo Campuzano, C.M., has joined the formation team at Perboyre Mission House for the current year. Besides assisting with formation direction and integrating Spanish into their liturgy, Father Campuzano adds his unique sense of enthusiasm and humor to the Perboyre Mission House community.
Father Tony Dosen, C.M., in addition to his work as formation director and travels with Toshio Sato, has been attending theology classes at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, where he is working toward a degree (license) in Sacred Theology.
