Harold and Virginia (Carron) Werner grew up near each other in Southeast Missouri and married on October 2, 1943. They were married for 63 years and lived on the family farm in French Village, Missouri, where Harold grew up. They were never blessed with children but their close association with many nieces, nephews, and friends made their lives complete.
Virginia was a homemaker, working in her garden and canning many fruits and vegetables. Harold farmed all his life and many times you would drive by their home and see him on the tractor. He cared for his cattle, farmed his land, and spent all day doing his farm work.
The Werner’s were long-time parishioners of Saint Lawrence Catholic Church where they were very active in the church. Their last two years were spent in a nursing home. Virginia died on December 16, 2006 and Harold died on March 16, 2008. Harold and Virginia were also long-time members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal. The Association was listed as a beneficiary in their living trust.
