I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for all the Christmas cards you sent to us. With excitement and appreciation, I delightfully read every one of the many cards, each full of sincere prayer, charity, and enthusiastic encouragement from the members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal throughout the country. Many wished me perseverance and trust in pursuing this blessed calling to become a Vincentian priest.
I thank you for your continuous support and prayers. Each handwritten card, with wishes and hopes for the future priests, encourages and affirms my response to his love, and nourishes the yearning desire in my heart to serve God with my whole being. I placed all the cards in the chapel at the rectory of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, where I am living this year, and we have been praying for each one of you in our daily prayers.
Thank you again and may God continue to bless your inspiring ministry as members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal.
Sincerely yours,
Toshio Sato
Dear Friends of Our Lady,
My name is Jeremy Dixon and I am studying to be a Vincentian priest in Chicago. This is my fourth year in formation. Last year, I finished our novitiate and took my first vows “good purposes” with the community.
One of the things I look forward to is receiving the many Christmas cards you send to the seminarians. I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for thinking of me and for the wonderful notes and letters many of you wrote. I cannot put into words the feeling I got when card after card reminded me of your prayers and best wishes. It was a wonderful gift, thank you.
Our formation program in Chicago is grateful for your support and prayers. We pray the novena every week and I am grateful to our Lady for her prayers. I was ill last spring and in the hospital, but I’m sure that the many prayers and the intercession from the Blessed Mother got me through and back on track. I know that with your prayers and hers, I will find God’s will for me and hopefully one day become a great priest.
If anyone wishes to receive the mailings from our house, please send a note to Reverend Patrick McDevitt C.M., Perboyre Mission House, P.O. Box 146349, Chicago, IL 60614-3298.
Thank you and God bless you,
Jeremy Dixon, CM
