Our Annual May Procession
You are invited to our annual May Procession at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Please join us as we honor our Lady on May 4, the first Sunday of May. It is a wonderful way to begin Mary’s month. If you can’t attend in person, I invite you to send your petitions to be carried in the procession.
Vincentian Family News
The Ladies of Charity are one of the first organizations Saint Vincent de Paul founded to aid and to evangelize the poor. They are a worldwide organization that continues to function in the spirit of Saint Vincent since their founding in 1617. You might have a group of Ladies of Charity in your parish. They do much to alleviate the needs of the poor. Read more about the Ladies of Charity.
Online Gift Shop
We are offering two fascinating gifts this month: The first is the new CD of Marian music that the Shrine Choir has just recorded. The other is a striking Italian Cloisonné Rosary. And the Association offers many resources for other events that often occur in May—Mother’s Day, First Communions, graduations, weddings, and so many more. There is no better way to remember loved ones at these special times than with prayers, Votive Lights, memberships, tributes, and other devotional gifts. Just click on the link to visit our online Gift Shop to see what we have to offer.
Catholic Home Study Service
Be sure to read Father Oscar Lukefahr’s article on his important ministry, the Catholic Home Study Service. The courses Father Lukefahr offers are based on the books he has written during the past several years. His books are written in a very clear style with many stories and anecdotes to illustrate his teaching. I highly recommend his books and his courses.
