Association of the Miraculous Medal
News from the Association
Blog Home > Archive (December, 2017)
You are invited to join the Association’s Octave of Masses, February 11-18, honoring Our Lady of Lourdes.  Send us your intentions now to be remembered and burn Votive Lights.  Mary, under her titles of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and Our Lady of Lourdes, is always ready to help her children. So many miracles at the healing pools of Lourdes, France, testify to the fact that Mary intercedes for us!  St. Bernadette was wearing a Miraculous Medal when Mary, the Immaculate Conception, appeared to her in 1858. This close connection between Lourdes and the Miraculous Medal is why we celebrate an octave of Masses here at the National Shrine of the Miraculous Medal honoring Our Lady of Lourdes. Read Fr. Kevin’s letter about the story of Dr. Alexis Carrell, an agnostic, who witnessed first-hand the miracle at Lourdes, France.

Read Our Winter Bulletin
In the 2017 Winter Bulletin, Father Kevin shares a summary and reflection on Pope Francis’ message given at the Vincentian Family Symposium in Rome in October. Don talks about the twists and turns in life we all go through, while Fr. Ramson invites all of us to bring one new person into one of the branches of the Vincentian tree. You will also read about the Association’s 100th anniversary which will be celebrated in 2018 and you will find information about the Association’s 2018 pilgrimage to France and Switzerland which ties into our anniversary. A new Votive Light card for the Christmas season and bleak winter months is featured as is our financial accountability report for 2017. To learn more about the ways you can give a Year-End gift to the Association, be sure to read the Winter Bulletin.
