Mary was conceived without sin, a fact we celebrate annually on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Mary was the woman chosen by God to bring his Son into the world. God wanted Jesus to be untouched by sin, and Mary’s immaculate heart made this possible. Here at our Lady’s Shrine, we honor Mary’s holy innocence by celebrating the Immaculate Conception Novena beginning on Thursday, December 8. To learn more about Mary’s Immaculate Conception and its meaning for us, read Fr. Kevin’s letter.

You are invited, in person or in spirit, to join our upcoming Miraculous Medal Novena, November 19-27. If you live near the Shrine, or you are able to make a pilgrimage here, a first-class relic of Saint Catherine Labouré will be on display at certain times throughout the novena for viewing and veneration. Use this link to see the times and other details.  Our Blessed Mother is waiting to hear your prayers. You are encouraged to wear our Lady’s Miraculous Medal not only during the Miraculous Medal Novena, but always as a sign of your love for Mary.
